eToro CopyFunds enable you to invest quickly and efficiently in pre-defined investment strategies. We do this by combining a selection of markets based on a similar theme – in this case cryptocurrencies – or by combining the strategies of some of the most successful traders on our global network.
Our new Cryptocurrency CopyFund gives you investment exposure to the two biggest digital currencies, Bitcoin and Ethereum. And we have plans to add more over the coming months, with the likes of XRP by Ripple Lab, Dash and Litecoin very much in our plans.
The weighting of the two crypto assets in the CopyFund will be determined by their market cap. The total market cap for all cryptocurrency markets has very notably hit the $100bn barrier recently, having started the year at just $11bn.
The Cryptocurrency CopyFund will be regularly analysed by the eToro team and automatically rebalanced once a month, making it easy for mainstream retail investors to invest in this fast-growing marketplace.
We also have dedicated markets for Bitcoin and Ethereum, so if you want to trade them separately via CFDs, you can do that too.
