What you’ll be doing:

• Act as “2nd line of defense”-resource to continuously monitor and oversee all relevant company and group policies to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations with a strong focus on all customer related topics (in particular, interaction with and complaints of clients). Set relevant policies and guidelines for the eToro Germany where applicable.
• Monitoring of regulatory development relevant to the activities of eToro (Germany) and eToro (Europe)
• Assist with Reporting to all relevant regulators i.e. BaFin, Bundesbank, CySEC etc.
• Work closely with Marketing to ensure all marketing activities are compliant
• Monitoring of the CySec reporting schedules for all activities of the Company (including Marketing and Customer facing (i.e. complaints))
• Support eToro’s global compliance monitoring program:: regular review of all company operations, in line with the regulatory guidelines AND audit findings
• Cooperation with the global product and ops teams to ensure the Compliance function has the necessary reports required for ongoing monitoring of the procedures already set in place

• Knowledge and experience with local regulations, WpHG, GWG, KWG, MIFID II/MIFIR, GDPR legislation
• Particular expertise on monitoring compliance of the Marketing function and of the affiliation program will be considered an advantage
• Academic Degree – Legal or similar with strong legal background - desired along with experience in a related field – minimum 2 years.
• Open to creative solutions & business innovation; a team player
• Strong communication and presentation skills; must be comfortable communicating at all levels within the global eToro Group
• Ideally possess technical skills (Excel/VBA) to aid in the analysis of data
• German - at mother tongue level; Fluency in English
