Global multi-asset investment platform eToro and SK Slavia Prague are pleased to announce that eToro has become the main partner of the reigning Czech football champions on a multi-year deal.
Founded in 2007, eToro is the world’s leading social investment network with over 20 million registered users worldwide. It has been active in the Czech Republic for several years with Czech clients investing with eToro since 2017. This deal illustrates eToro’s commitment to the Czech market, and will see their logo feature on all official club teamwear including the iconic white and red “stitched” jersey for the men’s, women’s and youth teams.
SK Slavia Prague, established in 1892, is the oldest Czech football club and has dominated the Czech First League (also known as the Fortuna Liga) in recent years with three titles in a row.
Tomáš Syrovátka, first vice-president of SK Slavia Prague said: “We are pleased to be joining forces with the world’s leading social investment network and we welcome eToro to the Slavia family as a new general partner of the club. We look forward to working with them and we hope that our partnership will bring us joy and success on and off the pitch.”
eToro plans to tap into the community behind the team, offering free educational content to fans so that more people can learn how to invest.
Nir Smulewicz, VP Marketing of eToro said: “The Czech Republic is an important market for eToro and through this partnership we hope to raise awareness to more people of the potential to grow their wealth through investing. We would like to show the fans that investing doesn’t have to be something only a select few can do, it can be as easily accessible as football matches, and for some maybe as interesting.”
eToro offers users the option to invest in a range of assets from stocks, to commodities or crypto. The platform also provides a choice of how to invest; users can invest themselves, copy another investor or invest in a range of thematic portfolios.
The partnership with SK Slavia Prague is a part of eToro’s deep involvement within the world of sport, where it has an extensive global partnership portfolio comprising multiple football clubs across the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Liga 1 and the Danish Superliga along with other sports including Rugby Australia. As one of Europe’s biggest sponsors, eToro will continue to expand its investment in a range of sporting communities across the world in 2021.
