  1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I was born in 1968 in one of the the most beautiful Spanish cities called Donostia – San Sebastián, but I’ve been living, studying and working in Madrid for decades now. I’m happily married to my wife, Cuca since 1994, and we have two kids, Javier and Beatriz

  1. Did you have previous experience with financial investments before joining eToro?

I started my professional career in the mid-90s, working at a bank’s market desk, trading government bonds, futures and options. Ever since I studied Business Administration, I was ‘hooked’ on financial markets and technical analysis, and have been following the markets for over 30 years now.

  1. Why did you choose to join eToro?

I chose eToro because of its disruptive contribution to investment and trading, and because of its leadership in social trading. eToro is helping people benefit from financial markets in an easy and transparent way, whether they are pure investors, aspiring traders or professional ones.

  1. What are the three key benefits of using eToro?

eToro is an Intuitive and user-friendly trading platform. Risk Score, a tool that measures and establishes a new indicator of trading risks, is a piece of information that is very useful for both traders and investors. Social trading features especially, accessibility for beginners, transparency for investors and, finally, the offering of equidistant business opportunities for professional traders.

  1. How has eToro changed the way you trade?

I’m deeply convinced that social trading and, particularly the eToro’s Popular Investor program, are reducing the general risk associated with trading, thanks to the incentive scheme for more responsible trading. I would always recommend every trader, although he or she may not be willing to become Popular Investors, to meet the program’s risk requirements for a more reasonable approach to trading.

  1. What is your type of trading strategy and what is it focused on?

I define trading as the art of making profits from the internal short-term oscillations of any financial market. To do so, a trader would need a very solid technical background, a well-defined risk policy and trading rules. I do swing trading, especially over major currency pairs and US indices, with average retention of 4-5 days based on a 100% technical analysis methodology and concretely, applying the JM HURST cyclic theory and techniques powered by QuantCycles and HurstSignals from SentientTrader. I have developed my own risk policy and trading rules based on my own experience and personality.

  1. What are the benefits of being a Popular Investor and what is your long-term goal?

The Popular Investor Program has allowed me to finally merge my passion about markets and my entrepreneurial activity and spirit, rejuvenating my dream of creating as much added value as possible for as many people as possible, forming the most exciting and motivating project I’ve ever started. I envision my PI profile as a long-term business where controlled risks, consistency and continuity will be the three core pillars.

  1. Do you have any advice for your copiers/ users considering copying you?

I think that one of eToro’s key added value points is transparency, so we must use it. Please, take your time to select a Popular Investor basket, study carefully their track records, compare the risk-reward ratios, markets, retention average, etc. And finally, diversify your strategy selecting various PIs. Every trader could be unique and special. Bear in mind that trading looks for profits in the short term but profitability is a long distance race. You must apply a long-term perspective when you copy someone.

  1. What are your hobbies?

My preferred hobby is sharing life with my family, enjoying simple things together, taking my 8 km daily walk after making early morning trading decisions and traveling, from time to time, to my country house.

  1. Is there anything else you’d like to tell our readers?

Whether you decide to copy me or not, you are very welcome to follow my feed, where I publish a short monthly piece talking about my vision about trading. Please, take a look at these pieces and share them if you like. Thank you.
