Headquartered in Shanghai, Yum China Holdings operates locally in China throughout all regions with the exclusion of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. As of December 2021, the company owns, manages, or franchises 11,415 restaurants in more than 1,600 cities and towns.
The company runs its business through two segments, namely KFC and Pizza Hut. The associated restaurants provide services under the KFC, Pizza Hut, Little Sheep, Huang Ji Huang, COFFii & JOY, East Dawning, Taco Bell, and Lavazza brands. Food and beverages include chicken, pizza, hotpots, Chinese food, Mexican food, and specialty coffees, including Italian coffees. In addition, Yum China Holdings provides online food orders and delivery services.
In 2021, Yum China Holdings ranked 363rd among the listed Fortune 500 companies. The company also received mention on the 2020 Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the Catering and Leisure Industry, and, as of 2018, received acknowledgement on the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for three years running.
