Yelp, Inc. is an online platform that focuses on connecting customers with local businesses. Operating worldwide, the company was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in San Fransisco, California. As of December 2021, Yelp has 5.4 million active claimed local business locations, 224 million cumulative reviews, and 535,000 paying advertising locations.

Businesses featured on the company’s platform include restaurants, shopping outlets and retailers, beauty and fitness centres, health institutions, and other organisations. Yelp also covers service-rendering enterprises that include home, local, automotive, professional, pet, events, real estate, and financial services. Businesses can access free and paid advertising services on the Yelp online platform. These options include cost-per-click search-based advertising and multi-location marketing products. The company also allows businesses to deliver targeted search advertising and business listing pages.

With Yelp Reservations, customers can place online reservations for restaurant, entertainment, and other venues by using the Yelp business listing pages. The Yelp Waitlist allows customers to monitor booking wait times and remotely join online waitlists. Yelp Knowledge provides search and data analytic insights, and Yelp Fusion offers consumer-facing enterprise through APIs (application programming interfaces). Yelp has a strategic partnership with Grubhub to affect food order pick-ups and deliveries. The company trades on the NYSE under the YELP ticker.
