What Is Real Estate Select Sector SPDR?
The Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF provides exposure to select companies within the real estate industry, such as real estate management and development companies and real estate investment trusts (REITs), excluding mortgage REITs. Managed by State Street Global Advisors Funds Management Inc., this ETF was established in October 2015.

The Real Estate Select Sector SPDR fund's key objective is to replicate the investment performance of the Real Estate Select Sector Index. The companies held by this fund are all part of the S&P 500, which includes large companies listed on stock exchanges within the United States. In general, the fund invests at least 95% of its total assets in stocks for companies that are listed in the index. The base currency for this fund is USD.

Available on the NYSE, the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF is listed under the ticker XLRE. This fund includes investments in the following industries: equity real estate investment trusts and real estate management and development. This fund is non-diversified. As of 16 December 2021, some of the fund's top holdings included American Tower Corporation, Prologis Inc., Crown Castle International Corp, Equinix Inc., Public Storage, Simon Property Group Inc., and Digital Realty Trust Inc.
