Founded in 1971, the company’s name was changed to Worley Limited in 2019. The company was officially incorporated in2001. It mainly specialises in engineering designs and project deliveries in the resources, chemical, and energy sectors. Based in Northern Sydney, Australia, Worley operates internationally, serving multinational customers.

Worley operates through its Advisian, Energy & Chemical Services, Mining, Minerals & Metal Services, Major Projects, and Integrated Solutions segments. The company emphasises technological advancements through digitalisation. Worley promotes sustainability initiatives through its Comprimo®, Chemetics®, and JESA brands. In 2022, the company was also awarded a front-end engineering and design contract by VPI Immingham LLP. This contract is for a post-combustion carbon capture facility, linking with the UK Humber Zero project.
