What Is Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corp?
The Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corporate Bond Index Fund is an exchange traded fund (ETF), which consists of hundreds of financial assets grouped in a single fund and managed to deliver the overall objective. This fund is administered by the Vanguard Fixed Income Group, which has its headquarters in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The Vanguard Intermediate Term Corporate Bond Index Fund was established on 19 November 2009.

The Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corporate Bond aims to deliver a moderate and sustainable level of current income. The bond invests mainly in high-quality corporate bonds. It tracks the performance of the Bloomberg Barclays US 5-10 Year Corporate Index, with diversified exposure to the investment-grade US corporate bond market. This index comprises investment-grade, dollar-denominated, fixed-rate taxable securities with maturities between 5-10 years, issued by utilities, industrial, and financial companies. As a general rule, the bond will have 80% or more of the fund’s assets invested in bonds that are included in this index.

The Vanguard Intermediate Term Corporate Bond Index Fund is traded on the NASDAQ using the ticker VCIT. Interest rate sensitivity is moderate. The fund uses a base currency of USD.
