What Is T-Mobile US Inc?
T-Mobile US, Inc. is the third-largest mobile telecoms company in the United States. It offers wireless network services to prepaid, postpaid, and wholesale customers. The company sells mobile devices and accessories through its network of owned and operated retail outlets, websites, and customer services channels for the American market. It also sells T-Mobile branded devices to third-party distributors for resale via independent retail stores and websites. The company’s origins started with the foundation of VoiceStream in 1994, a subsidiary of Western Wireless Corporation, which became a separate corporation in 1999. DeutscheTelekom acquired VoiceStream in 2001 and in 2021 still has a 42% stake in the company. The T-Mobile US headquarters are located in Bellevue, Washington.

T-Mobile has 75,000 employees and serves customers in Puerto Rico as well as the US, with over 7,900 locations and over 104 million customers across the US. Its key brands include T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and Sprint. T-Mobile provides 5G home internet services and also offers financial services through its online-only bank T-Mobile Money.

T-Mobile US, Inc. trades on the NASDAQ with the stock ticker TMUS. The company was featured in America’s Best Employers List 2021.
