Transdigm Group Incorporated engages in the design, production, and supply of both commercial and military aerospace components, systems, and subsystems. The company, which was founded in 1993, is based in Cleveland, Ohio. TransDigm operates internationally through locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The company has three different divisions. Its Power and Control segment focuses on mechanical and electromechanical actuators and controls, ignition systems and engine technologies, advanced pumps and valves, power conditioning instruments, specialised electric motors and generators, chargers, and batteries. Furthermore, this division also manages the development and marketing of power controls, sensors, switches, relay panels, lifting devices, and cargo handling equipment. The focus of Transdigm’s Airframe segment includes engineered latching and locking mechanisms, engineered rods and connectors, elastomer sealing solutions, cockpit security solutions, and seatbelt and other safety restraints. It also manages lighting solutions and thermal and insulation instruments and products. The Non-Aviation segment develops and markets solutions for ground transport and space applications. These include seatbelts and other restraints, hydraulic and electromechanical actuators, and fuel valves for land-based gas turbines.

The various segments service engine and power system distributors, airlines, third-party management agents, military acquisition departments, cabin system distributors, and repair depots. TransDigm uses the TDG ticker on the NYSE.
