Star Bulk Carriers Corp. is a global shipping company engaged in the ownership and operation of a fleet of dry bulk carrier vessels. The company's vessels transport major bulks, such as iron ore, coal and grain, and minor bulks, which include bauxite, fertilizers and steel products, serving a worldwide customer base. The firm was founded in 2006. It is incorporated in the Marshall Islands and maintains executive offices in Athens, Greece and Limassol, Cyprus.

The company’s fleet comprises of 128 vessels, with an aggregate capacity of more than 14 million DWT. The fleet consists of Newcastlemax, Capesize, Post Panamax, Kamsarmax, Panamax, Ultramax and Supramax vessels, transporting more than 60 million tons of dry bulk cargoes around the world annually, serving a variety of customers worldwide, via multiple trade routes, carrying a wide range of cargoes.

The firm also owns Star Bulk (Singapore) Pte. Ltd, based in Singapore. Star Bulk is one of the top performing shipping companies in the Rightship risk rating globally. The firm is listed on the NASDAQ where it trades under the ticker SBLK.
