SentinelOne, Inc. provides an autonomous cybersecurity platform. The company’s security software detects and protects against advanced threats and nation-state malware. With its headquarters in Mountain View, California, SentinelOne operates internationally and has enterprise customers in North America, Japan, and Europe. The company was founded in 2013.

SentinelOne cybersecurity solutions focus on endpoints, data centres, and cloud environments. These solutions assist organisations to secure their digitised and virtual assets. The company uses extended detection and response (XDR) systems, driven by artificial intelligence (AI), to establish a single application that detects, prevents, eradicates, and remedies cyber attacks. This function also includes forensic analysis. The cross-layered functionality of XDR correlates data across multiple security layers that improves cybersecurity detection and response times. Industries using the SentinelOne cybersecurity services include finance, healthcare, retail, energy, and education.

Backed by Daniel Loeb’s hedge fund, Third Point, SentinelOne held its IPO on 30 June 2021. The company sold over 35 million of its Class A common shares at a public offering price of $35 per share. SentinelOne raised net proceeds of approximately $1.33bn during this IPO, which closed on 6 July 2021. The company is publicly listed on the NYSE using the S.US stock ticker.
