Rational AG dates back to 1973 and has 33 subsidiaries. The company offers cooking systems for both standard and professional kitchens. There are over 900,000 Rational units on the market today, and more than 120 million dishes are prepared daily using the company’s products, which reach more than 50% of the global market share for multifunctional appliances.

Rational AG has over 600 patents, patent applications and utility models and over 45 years of in-depth cooking research. The company produces its products in France and Germany and sells them across the globe.

Overall, Rational AG has more than 1,000 employees in Germany and approximately 2,100 worldwide. The company employs physicists, food scientists, development engineers and over 250 professional chefs. The company was awarded the Axia Best Managed Companies Award in 2019.

Rational has been listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since its initial IPO back in 2000, and is also currently part of the SDAX.
