What Is Qorvo Inc.?
Qorvo Inc. is an American semiconductor company engaged in the design, manufacture, and supply of innovative and high performance radio-frequency (RF) solutions for advanced wireless devices, mobile technology, infrastructure, defence radar, Internet of Things (IoT), and communications systems. Based in Greensboro, North Carolina, Qorvo was founded in 2015 and operates globally.

The firm’s cellular RF and Wi-Fi solutions power a wide range of mobile devices, including smartphones, wearables, laptops, tablets, and IoT applications. There are more than 2,000 products in the Qorvo portfolio, and approximately 1.5 billion mobile devices around the world operate using the firm’s technology. There are also around 250,000 Gallium Arsenide semiconductor (GaAs) devices supplied by Qorvo that help power satellite systems that support broadband data, telecommunications, and GPS.

The company operates through a wide range of subsidiaries around the world, including RFMD LLC, RFMD Infrastructure Product Group Inc., Xemond Incorporated, Amalfi Semiconductor, Inc., and WJ Newco LLC. In 2020, Qorvo won Product of the Year at the World Electronics Achievement Awards, for its QM28014 cellular/satellite/Wi-Fi antenna-plexer. The firm is listed on the NASDAQ, where it trades under the ticker QRVO.
