Portillo's Inc. is an American fast casual restaurant chain, based in the Chicago area and specializing in serving iconic Chicago-style street food such as hot dogs, Maxwell Street Polish, Italian beef, fresh pasta trays, gourmet salads, sandwiches, and burgers. The firm has its corporate headquarters in Oakbrook, Illinois, and operates more than 60 locations across Illinois, Indiana, Arizona and California. The company started out as the Portillo’s hot dog stand in Villa Park, Illinois in 1963.

The firm’s outlets offer dine-in and take-out options as well as their own unique drive through system where staff will come to your car to take your order as you wait in line. The firm also offers catering options for parties and other events, which can be delivered or ordered for pickup, including buffet-style catering and a ‘Take & Make’ option that customers can prepare at home using Portillo’s signature ingredients.

In October 2021 the firm announced the closing of its initial public offering with gross proceeds from the offering at approximately $466 million, before underwriting discounts, commissions and estimated expenses. The common stock began trading on October 21, 2021. The firm trades on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker PTLO.
