Ormat Technologies, Inc. is a multinational energy corporation headquartered in Reno, Nevada. Operating globally, the company supplies geothermal energy technology and manages over 190 power plants that deploy more than 3,200 megawatts of capacity. Additionally, the firm manufactures turbines, generators, and heat exchangers. Founded by the Bronicki family in 1965, the company aims to export innovative technology in the renewable energy sector.

Ormat is a leading provider of cutting-edge, environmentally friendly power solutions. The company operates across the United States, Indonesia, Kenya, Turkey, Chile, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Ethiopia, New Zealand, and Honduras. Its three segments include Electricity, Product, and Energy Storage. Apart from owning and managing geothermal power facilities in the US and other countries, the company also develops, produces, and distributes turnkey power generation equipment and entire power plants.

Ormat Technologies, Inc. is traded on the NYSE under the ticker ORA.US In May 2021, the firm entered into a purchase agreement with Terra-Gen subsidiary TG Geothermal Portfolio for the acquisition of two contracted geothermal assets in Nevada totalling 67.5 MW, as well as a greenfield development asset adjacent to one of the plants and an underutilised transmission line.
