OC Oerlikon Corporation AG dates back to 1907 and engineers materials, equipment and surfaces and provides expert services and high-tech solutions for applications in the automotive industry, aerospace, energy, the tooling industry, additive manufacturing and more. The company has a global footprint of more than10,500 employees at 175 locations in 37 countries.

The Oerlikon Group is structured in two business segments: Surface Solutions, which is focused on materials and surface solutions; and Manmade Fibers, which is focused on production technologies for synthetic fibers and polycondensation systems.

Group brands include: Oerlikon Balzers, a provider of surface technologies; Oerlikon Metco, a surface solutions provider with a global presence; Oerlikon am, a provider of additive manufacturing solutions related to metal powders, prototyping and series production; Oerlikon Barmag, focused on man-made fibre spinning systems and texturing machines; Oerlikon Neumag, focused on BCF carpet yarn and synthetic staple fibres plants; and Oerlikon Nonwoven, which delivers comprehensive solutions for all crucial non-woven production processes.
