Matterport Inc is an American technology company that is primarily engaged in using spatial data to digitise and index physical spaces. This enables the owners and users of those spaces to understand, design, build, and operate them. The firm is based in Sunnyvale, California, and serves customers in more than 150 countries worldwide. It has been in operation since 2011.

The firm has developed a proprietary 3D system that uses a patented camera to capture 3D and 2D images of an interior space. The system can then create one complete 3D mesh with images overlaid onto all surfaces. The technology allows users to walk through the interior, and view it as a 3D model or floorplan, complete with linear and area measurement data. The resulting model can be modified, annotated, and shared using any computer or other devices.

The company has offices across the United States, in London and in Singapore, and serves a range of clients including Sotherby’s International Realty, Coldwell Banker, Mariott London Maida Vale, and Apartments.com. The firm is listed on the NASDAQ where it is traded under the ticker MTTR.
