Mercury Systems Inc is an American technology company based in Andover, Massachusetts. With 25 facilities around the world, it serves the global aerospace and defence industry. The firm is engaged in the design, development, and manufacture of a variety of mission-critical computer hardware and software products that easily integrate with its clients’ platforms and technology. Solutions are purpose built to meet the needs of a range of customers that include government agencies, defence contractors, and commercial enterprises. The firm was founded in 1981.

The organisation has around 2,400 team members around the globe, and approximately 30% of them hold Department of Defence security clearances. Over 300 aerospace and defence programmes worldwide have Mercury technology embedded. The firm’s research and development budget is estimated to be around 4 or 5 times that of most firms within the industry.

Mercury Systems products include radio frequency components, multi-function assemblies, subsystems and custom microelectronics, critical avionics, mission computers, and hypersonic and radar applications. The company also offers various related industry services such as systems engineering support, consulting, maintenance, testing, and installation services. The firm is listed on the NASDAQ, where it trades under the ticker MRCY.
