MarketAxess Holdings Inc is a US-based, international financial technology company with its headquarters in New York City. The firm serves clients across the globe with its patented electronic trading network, consisting of a large number of active institutional participants. The platform is used for the trading of bonds and is the largest institutional marketplace available, dedicated to price transparency, competition, and choice. The firm has been in operation since 2000.

The MarketAxcess platform can be used to buy and sell US corporate, high yield, and emerging market bonds, along with US agency bonds, municipal bonds, and Eurobonds. It is used by more than 1,700 institutional investors and broker-dealer firms. The platform incorporates the Corporate BondTicker service, which offers access to real-time pricing and analytical tools, as well as the ability to view indicative prices from its broker-dealer clients.

MarketAxess offers a range or trading-related products and services such as market data products aimed at assisting clients with trading decisions, Composite+ pricing, connectivity solutions to enable STP trading, and execution services for clients. The firm is listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker MKTX.
