What Is iShares U.S. Real Estate ETF?
The iShares U.S. Real Estate ETF provides exposure to United States real estate companies and REITs, which invest in real estate directly and trade like stocks. Managed by New York-based BlackRock Inc., this fund was established in June 2000.

The key objective of the iShares U.S. Real Estate ETF is to replicate the investment performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Real Estate Capped Index. The companies included in the U.S. Real Estate Capped Index are US equities in the real estate sector. The fund generally invests at least 80% of its total assets in stocks for companies that are listed in the index. The base currency for this fund is USD.

Stock for the iShares U.S. Real Estate ETF is listed on the NYSE under the ticker IYR. This fund includes investments in the real estate industry, including real estate investment trusts (REITs), real estate services, research and consulting services, and real estate development companies. This fund is diversified. As of 10 December 2021, some of the fund's top holdings included American Tower REIT Corp., Prologis REIT Inc., Crown Castle International REIT Co., Equinix REIT Inc., Public Storage REIT, Simon Property Group REIT Inc., and Digital Realty Trust REIT Inc.
