The HST segment handles the design and distribution of roll compaction and drying systems, precision fluidics, and rotary lobe pumps. IDEX's FMT segment provides flow monitoring and other services to the energy, agricultural, chemical, water, wastewater, and food industries.

Additionally, in November 2021, the company announced that it had acquired Nexsight, LLC in a cash deal for $120m. The acquisition is expected to broaden the capabilities of the company's cloud-based wastewater system monitoring and predictive analytics platform.
