The Hershey Company is an American multinational confectionary company and one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in the world. The firm carries a total of around 90 brands and many different product types, including baked goods, such as cookies and cakes, other snacks such as popcorn, and beverages such as milkshakes. The firm was founded in 1894 when founder Milton Hershey established the Lancaster Caramel Company, with the Hershey Chocolate Company as a subsidiary. The firm is headquartered in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

The company produces chocolates and other snacks under a variety of brands, including their famous Hershey's Kisses, Reese's peanut butter cups, Almond Joy candy bars, York peppermint patties, Kit Kat wafer bars, Jolly Rancher, and Twizzlers, Hershey also makes other grocery goods including baking products, toppings, sundae syrup, cocoa mix, cookies, snack nuts, breath mints, bubble gum, popcorn and other savoury snacks.

Products are sold via wholesale distributors and retailers throughout North America, and exported to numerous countries overseas, although the US market accounts for the majority of the firm’s sales. The company trades on the NYSE under the stock ticker HSY.
