GoPro Inc. is an American multinational technology company founded in 2002. The firm is primarily involved in the development and manufacture of wearable and mountable action cameras, as well as related apps, software, and accessories, including video editing software. The firm was founded by Nick Woodman, a surfer, skier, and motorsports enthusiast who wanted a way for fellow sports enthusiasts to easily capture their own and their companions’ sports action. The firm has sold over 26 million GoPro cameras in more than 100 countries.

The firm also provides a range of cloud-connected cameras, along with cloud-based storage solutions, and desktop and mobile apps. This set of hardware and software allows the ability for users to easily access, edit, and share content. Apps available from the company include Quik, GoPro Player, GoPro Webcam, and ReelSteady. Apps are available for iOS and Android devices.

GoPro Inc. also provides compact and foldable drones, versatile stabilization solutions, batteries and chargers, and various mountable, wearable, and voice-activated accessories. There is also a range of GoPro lifestyle gear, including clothing and backpacks. The firm is listed on the NASDAQ under the stock ticker GPRO.
