Fastly, Inc. operates an edge cloud platform that serves an international customer base. The company provides services in the areas of security, streaming media, delivery, e-commerce, and private content delivery network (CDN). Founded in 2011, Fastly has its headquarters in San Francisco, California.

Formerly known as SkyCache, Inc., the company changed its name to Fastly, Inc. in May 2012. Its programmable platform supports web and application delivery. The company offers streaming media services for the global delivery of both live and video on demand content. Users can mitigate security threats and manage traffic spikes. Fastly's solutions work with Google Cloud Platform to provide scalability, backend workload, and content delivery. The company offers Compute@Edge, a developer hub that includes numerous tools and services to support development on the Fastly platform.

Stock for Fastly is listed on the NYSE under the ticker FSLY. As of October 2020, Fastly's customers include many prominent companies, including GitHub, Pinterest, and The New York Times. Fastly also provide edge security solutions, such as DDOS protection and transport layer security (TLS), in addition to unified web application and API protection solutions, such as account takeover protection and advanced rate limiting.
