Fortescue Metals Group Ltd is an Australian company and is a leader in the global iron ore industry. It is recognised for innovation and world-class infrastructure in many mining locations in Australia including Chichester Hub, Solomon Hub, Port Hedland and Eliwana. J. Andrew Forrest founded this mining company in April 2003. The company is headquartered in East Perth, Australia

Since the formation of FMG, the company has developed large iron ore deposits and constructed significant mining territory and infrastructure as well as over a dozen subsidiary companies. Fortescue ships an estimated 170 million tonnes (mtpa) of iron ore per annum to China and claims the lowest cost of seaborne iron ore as of 2022. Equipped with a fleet of tailored ore carriers and rail systems, Fortescue can maximise its productivity.

Fortescue Metals Group Ltd, trades on the ASX under the FMG ticker. The company trades in the metal sector and produces iron ore and is exploring gold, copper and lithium options. Fortescue Metals Group is eco-conscious and works with their renewable green energy company FFI to create a portfolio of green hydrogen and green product operations across the globe.
