iShares MSCI Taiwan ETF EWT

The iShares MSCI Taiwan ETF is an exchange traded fund that seeks to track the investment results of the MSCI Taiwan 25/50 Index, an index composed of a broad mix of Taiwanese equities. The fund is managed by Blackrock, a well-known international provider of exchange traded funds and other investment products, headquartered in New York City. The fund was established in 2000.

The fund primarily aims to provide investors with low cost, convenient and comprehensive exposure to a broad range of companies in Taiwan. The index is designed to measure the performance of large- and mid-cap companies in the country, giving investors targeted access to the Taiwanese stock market. With this index, a capping methodology is applied that limits the weight of any single issuer to a maximum of 25% of the underlying index.

The fund will at all times invest at least 80% of its assets in the securities of its underlying index, and in depositary receipts representing securities in its underlying index. The iShares MSCI Taiwan ETF is listed on the NYSE where it trades under the stock ticker EWT.
