iShares MSCI EAFE ETF EFA

The iShares MSCI EAFE ETF is an exchange traded fund that aims to track the investment results of the MSCI EAFE Index, which is a market index composed of large- and mid-capitalization developed market equities, excluding the U.S. and Canada. The fund is managed by Blackrock, a leading international financial services company offering over 300 different types of ETF. Blackrock is headquartered in New York City. The fund was established in 2012.

The fund aims to provide investors with exposure to a broad range of more than 900 stocks in companies across Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Far East, thereby providing investors with an easy way to diversify internationally. The fund has holdings across a diverse range of industries, including consumer staples, consumer discretionary, healthcare, and information technology.

The fund generally invests at least 80% of its assets in securities of the underlying index and in depositary receipts representing securities of the underlying index. Holdings may include large- or mid-cap companies. The iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets exchange traded fund is listed on the NYSE, where it trades under the stock ticker EFA.
