What Is Dexus?
Founded in 1984 and based in Sydney, Australia, Dexus is a real estate investment trust that focuses on office, commercial, industrial and healthcare properties. The company invests exclusively in properties within Australia.

As one of Australia's leading real estate groups, Dexus has a property portfolio valued at approximately $45.3bn as of March 2022, including 1.6 million square metres of office workspace across 51 properties. As of 30 June 2021, Dexus has a total of 182 properties including 5.7 million square meters under its management. The company owns a range of office and industrial properties and manages retail, office, healthcare and industrial properties on behalf of third-party clients.

In August 2021, Dexus acquired APN Property Group, a specialist real estate investment funds management business, in a deal for $320m. APN operates APN Industria REIT and APN Convenience Retail REIT, with approximately $3bn worth of property under its management. The acquisition is expected to expand and diversify Dexus’ portfolio. In December 2021, Blackstone announced acquiring a 49 percent stake in Dexus from Singapore wealth fund GIC in a deal for $1.5bn. Dexus owns the remainder of the joint venture. Stock for Dexus is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and trades under the ticker DXS.
