3D Systems Corporation provides 3D printing and digital manufacturing solutions. The company's application engineers collaborate with customers to assist in everything from prototyping through to production. With its headquarters in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the company was founded in 1986. It operates internationally, with subsidiaries in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.

3D Systems' products and solutions include 3D printers for metals and plastics, software, materials, maintenance, training services, and on-demand solutions. In addition to a range of 3D printing technologies, the company offers 3D virtual reality simulators and simulator models for medical applications, as well as solutions for the automotive, aerospace, medical, consumer goods, and dental markets.

Available on the NYSE, 3D Systems stock is listed under the ticker DDD. On October 27, 2021, the company announced reaching an agreement to acquire Volumetric Biotechnologies, a Houston-based biotech company. The agreement is structured around meeting certain milestones. If all milestones are met, the total purchase price for the acquisition will be $400m in a combination of cash and stock. In September 2021, the company announced reaching an agreement to acquire Oqton, the software company behind the cloud-based Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) platform, in a deal for $180m.
