What Is Danaos Corp?
Danaos Corporation, initially known as Danaos Holdings Limited, owns and manages container ships. The company, founded in 1972, is headquartered in Piraeus, Greece. Danaos has international operations throughout the United States, Asia, Europe, and Australia.

The company, which provides oceanic transport services, focuses on voyage speed and loading capabilities in the construction of its vessels. As of 2021, Danaos and its related subsidiaries owned a fleet of approximately 65 container ships, each averaging more than 400,000 units capacity per 20 feet. The company uses the DAC ticker on the NYSE.
