Citizens Financial Group, Inc., a regional bank, serves individuals, small and medium businesses, corporations, and institutions. It was founded in 1871 as Citizens Savings Bank, established by its parent High Street Bank, which was first created in 1828. The Citizens Financial Group headquarters are located in Providence, Rhode Island, with operations in the US.

Citizens Financial Group offers an extensive range of commercial and retail banking products and services. Its Consumer Banking segment provides a wide array of services, including lending, savings, and small business loans. It also offers mobile and online banking and a 24/7 customer contact centre to strengthen its retail banking service. Its Commercial Banking segment is likewise broad in scope, offering financial products and services that include deposit and treasury management, foreign exchange, lending and leasing, foreign exchange, commodity risk management, corporate finance, merger, and acquisition. This segment serves for-profit and not-for-profit sectors in various industries.

Between 1988 and 2014, Citizens Financial Group made more than 25 strategic bank acquisitions and sold its underperforming branches in parts of New York, Indiana, and Chicago. As of December 2021, the company has acquired $187bn in assets. Citizens Financial Group trades on NYSE with the ticker CFG.
