Banco Santander Brasil SA is the Brazilian subsidiary of the Spanish Banco Santander Group. Headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, the bank is the third largest privately owned bank in the country. The Santander group has been active the Brazilian market since 1957 but did not open a representative office in Brazil until 1970, and the first branch in the country opened in 1982.

The firm offers full-service banking operations within the country, and partners with digital and payment businesses such as GetNet and Webmotors to bring a wider range of services to Brazilian customers. The bank trades on the NYSE under the ticker BSBR.
