Formerly known as The Pittston Company, the company changed its name to The Brink's Company in May 2003. The Brink's Company operates through four segments, including: North America, Latin America, Europe, and Rest of World. In addition to its other services, the company offers security system design and installation services, which can include alarms, closed-circuit televisions, motion detectors, and digital video recorders, in addition to access control systems such as card and biometric readers, turnstiles, and electronic locks.
The Brink's Company stock is listed on the NYSE under the ticker BCO. The company also offers monitoring services as well as security and guarding services to protect warehouses, stores, offices, airport, and public venues. In April 2021, Brink's announced that it had acquired PAI, Inc., the largest privately held provider of ATM services in the United States. The deal was worth a reported $213m.
