Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited develops, designs, and manufactures products related to semiconductor technology. It was founded in 2000 and has its headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. The company is a global supplier and developer of semiconductor products for computing, consumer electronics, communication, and industrial applications.

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor offers various products, such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, IPMs, TVs, power ICs that deliver power as well as control and regulate power management variables, wide bandgap semiconductors, and HVICs. The company has developed advanced intellectual property that addresses the increasingly complex power requirements of advanced electronics. Its products are designed for high-volume applications, including personal computers, flat-panel televisions, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, smartphones, battery packs, consumer and industrial motor controls, and power supplies for television, computers, servers, and telecommunications equipment.

In 2011, the company introduced its first high-voltage (600V) product, which offered designers opportunities to create more efficient power supplies. Its products are sold via distributors primarily in the Asia Pacific, such as Hong Kong, China, and South Korea. The company is listed on the NASDAQ, where it trades under the stock ticker AOSL.
