What Is Cactus?
Cactus Wellhead is an American manufacturing company engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of specialist control equipment, such as valves, wellhead systems and flow control products. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company markets its products to clients in the global industrial sector. The firm was founded in 2011.

Cactus Wellhead's products are primarily supplied to onshore unconventional oil and gas wells to be used in the drilling, completion and production phases of wells. The company is also involved in providing installation and maintenance services, as well as ongoing repair and refurbishment services, offering 24-hour service crews to assist with the installation, maintenance and safe handling of each wellhead and related equipment. Cactus products include the Cactus SafeDrill wellhead systems, frac stacks, zipper manifolds and production trees. The firm also provides an asset management program to inventory, repair and refurbish customer surplus equipment.

Cactus Wellhead facilities are strategically located in all the major shale basins across the United States. The firm generates the majority of its revenue through the sale of wellhead systems, rental income, field service and related activities. Cactus Wellhead stock is listed on the NYSE under the ticker WHD.
