Founded in 1874 in Lucerne, Switzerland, Schindler Holding AG is a global provider of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways and related maintenance and modernisation services. Schindler has over 1,000 branch offices in more than 100 countries, as well as production sites and research and development facilities in Brazil, China, Europe, India and the US. The company employs around 64,486 people.

The company specialises in the latest technology engineering, as well as mechanical and microprocessor technology products. Schindler products can be found in many well-known buildings all over the world, , including office buildings and residential properties, airports, shopping centres, retail establishments, cruise ships, stadiums, and specialty buildings.
