HOCHTIEF AG dates back to 1873 and is a leading global construction group headquartered in Essen, Germany. The company is focused on the development, operation and maintenance of complex infrastructure real estate and investment projects. HOCHTIEF was named one of the construction industry’s leading brands by the Engineering News-Record magazine. The company employs around 64,000 people worldwide.

Its business divisions include transport infrastructure, energy infrastructure, social and urban infrastructure, mine services and additional services, such as modern facility management. In addition, the company offers a variety of related insurance and reinsurance products, mainly focused on contractors' and subcontractors’ possible casualty, liability, default, and accident insurance.

The company’s project include the expansion of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the construction of the Chacao Channel bridge, linking the island of Chiloé with mainland Chile.
