What Is Thales Group?
A Paris-based defence contractor, Thales Group is a world leader in the development and construction of radars, remote controlled weapon stations, infantry vehicles and aerospace industries. Thales Group was founded in 2000 and is partially owned by the French government. It has operations in over 50 countries and is considered one of the largest defence contractors in the world. Thales Group purchased Vormetric for $400 million in 2016 in order to upgrade its data security.

HO.PA stock is available for trade on the Euronext Paris. In addition, Thales Group stock is also available on several important indices, including: CAC Large 60, CAC Next 20, CAC Industrials, Euronext 100 and the FTSE Euro 300.

While Thales Group is involved in several industries, but is a weapons manufacturer at its core. The Thales Group is responsible for the development of the Bushmaster armoured vehicle, Hawkei armoured car, Starstreak missile, Watchkeeper WK450 drone and many more. It is believed that around 50% of the company’s revenue is generated from the sale of weapons and defence related purchases.
