The SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust is an exchange traded fund that seeks to provide investment results that generally correspond, before expenses, to the price and yield performance of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA). This fund is managed by State Street Global Advisors, the asset management arm of State Street Corporation, a major investment management company, established in 1978 and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.

This fund aims to provide investors with exposure to an index comprised of thirty “blue-chip” U.S. stocks. At 100-plus years, the DJIA is a price-weighted index that is the oldest continuing U.S. market index and has evolved into the most recognizable stock indicator in the world. It is the most widely quoted indicator of U.S. stock market activity and the only index composed of companies that have sustained earnings performance over a significant period of time.

The index has holdings across a range of industries including healthcare, finance and retail. The fund has a monthly distribution frequency. The SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust is listed on the NYSE where it trades under the stock ticker DIA.
