What Is Huatai Securities Co Ltd?
Based in the Chinese city of Nanjing, Huatai Securities Co. Ltd., also known as HTSC, is a financial services company, specialising in brokerage, underwriting, investment banking and online exchange services. The bulk of Huatai Securities’ revenue comes from domestic sources. The company, founded in 1991, has dominated online financial services in China via its trading platform, complemented by its robust and extensive full-service offline offerings. In 2014, Huatai Securities was the largest stocks and currencies broker in China in terms of trade volume.

Traded as 06886.HK, Huatai Securities was the first company to go public on the new London-Shanghai stock connect. The public offering took place in 2019, with Huatai Securities searching to raise $500 million, backed by the Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. 06886.HK is also available on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong and the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Huatai Securities owns a controlling stake in several subsidiaries in China, including Huatai United Securities Co. Ltd., and Jiangsu Equity Exchange Co. Ltd. The company also owns Huatai Financial Holdings, located in the autonomous region of Hong Kong.
