  • Peter has extensive experience as a front desk dealer and a deep understanding of the retail derivatives market. 
  • His City career involved roles trading CFDs for IG Markets, where he also created an education programme for their retail client base; he was a director at spread betting firm IG Index, and oversaw an overhaul of the website for the North American Derivatives Exchange.
  • Peter regularly provides education material to a variety of stock and derivatives brokers.
  • Peter’s insights into the financial markets and a spectrum of financial instruments, and his ability to explain the ins and outs in plain language, has made him a popular voice in the retail trading space.

Education and Certifications


  • Peter holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham (B.Eng).
  • Qualifications achieved by Peter included a number of examinations appropriate for regulated firms, including the SFA Securities Representative Examination and the SFA Futures and Options Representative Examination.
  • During his time as a financial dealer, Peter was a registered person with the predecessor of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
