* Values provided are at time of executing the above research, and reflect the cost of making a FX transaction with an eToro-approved currency during market hours of our UK-based rate providers, on 24/09/24. If you want to know how our rate compares with non-approved eToro currencies, or approved currencies of non-market hours, please contact us through the app.

The rate you get from most providers will often include a combination of multiple fees. That could be a flat fee for spending abroad, a mark-up on the FX rate they’re given by the card-scheme, or the mark-up the card-scheme adds to the interbank rate – in some cases, all three.

With us, it’s simple. We offer you the currency supplier rate, with a simple 0.25 or 0.5% mark-up (see table below). We do not pass on any card-scheme fees, and there are no other fees. (Note: This applies to eToro approved currencies. Non-approved currencies do not skip card-scheme fees, and we apply 0.55%.)

View our currency rate calculator to help you work out how purchases abroad will convert to your home currency.

TOP TIP: Always choose to pay in the local currency to get the best rates.
