By now you have already opened an eToro account and filled out all the forms.

You are almost ready to start investing, but first you need to take one last step: verification

At eToro our top priority is to ensure that your investments are safe.

Verification allows us to ensure that all our users are genuine.

And don’t worry our tech geeks have worked hard to make it super easy for you.

First, you must present a valid proof of identity, preferably your passport or ID card.

I always have mine with me.

You never know when someone might surprise you with a trip to Paris!

We also need a valid proof of address, no older than three months.

You can choose from a gazillion options, like a bank statement or even your internet bill.

Go to our website to find out what other options are available to you.

And finally, we’ll need your tax ID number.

As the name suggests, it’s the ID number used to handle your taxes.

This one’s slightly different in every country.

You can find a list of countries and their tax ID formats on our website too.

You’re done.

The verification process can take a few days.

We will let you know once your account is verified and ready to go.
