Who said you can’t copy the actions of better-performing investors? Get to know the basics of CopyTrading.

Transcript

Hi there.

In previous videos, we learned all about CopyTrading: the what, the why, the who .

But there’s one question we left out – how?

[How do I CopyTrade?]

Well it couldn’t be more simple if we tried.

And we tried.

First, choose the investor – or investors – you want to copy.

Remember, this investor should be someone who fits your needs, interests and objectives.

To find that special someone, go to our “Discover People” tool.

There, you can perform a search based on performance, assets, risk score, and various other categories that will help make your search as specific and effective as possible.

When you’ve found your investor, click ‘Copy’, enter the amount you wish to invest and set your Copy Stop Loss limits.

When you enter your Copy amount, you’ll be able to see what your own average position size will be, based on that investor’s historical strategy.

Note that the minimum position size is one US dollar – any positions below that amount will simply not open.

By the way, you have the option to copy all of the currently open trades of a copied investor with the market rates available at the time of copying – or not.

When you copy someone, each open position is counted as a single investment and your entire investment with that investor is divided in direct proportion with their portfolio.

For instance, let’s say your copied investor has 20% in a certain tech stock, 50% in their favorite ETF, and 30% in their chosen cryptocurrency.

Your own copy and investment will have the exact same proportions.

If you start copying an investor when the market is closed an automatic order will be created and your positions will open as soon as the market reopens.

That’s it!

We actually wanted to make a longer video, but there’s really nothing more to say.

Thanks for watching, and see you on etoro.
